Mission: to advance literary art in the digital age.
A 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2003, Narrative is dedicated to advancing literary arts in the digital age by supporting the finest writing talent and encouraging readership across
generations, in schools, and around the globe. Our online library of new literature by celebrated authors and by the best new and emerging writers is available for free.
Vision: to connect writers and readers around the globe.
From its inception, Narrative has seen the digital age as an opportunity to create renewed, vital audiences for literary excellence.
Sometimes referred to as the PBS of literature, Narrative is free for all readers, but we pay our contributors well. Narrative serves as a virtual bridge to connect more readers and writers than ever before, publishing more work each year than any other literary periodical, and reaching readers young and old in schools and homes around the globe.
Values: Yes, reading matters.
Literary readers are more than twice as likely as nonreaders to vote, to volunteer, and to be active participants of the communities in which they live.
